For beginners and advanced practitioners 

Yoga is therapeutic by definition. Especially in Iyengar Yoga with its focus on proper sequencing of asanas, attention to alignment and technique as well as timing in asanas, the healing aspect of yoga is in the center. 

We use various sophisticated props in order to support, educate, intensify awareness and release stress in our practice. The content of this workshop is to discover the props in their different roles and, with increased awareness, discovering our true inner being of stillness.

Support

When poses are not attainable due to certain bodily conditions, props can help to make the benefits of the poses accessible even for beginners. With the support of props we can overcome fear and anxiety in poses and therefore relax in the pose instead of becoming tense, hold the breath and so on.

Education

Props are helping us to bring correct alignment into a pose. By aligning our body to its ‘natural’ form and discover structural misalignments and asymmetries, we practice in a safe way and can see ourselves from within and initiate the healing process. Props here are a teacher to study our different body conditions 

Relaxation and Stress Reduction

For relaxation and stress reduction, which we refer to as restorative practice we use the props to increase the time in a pose to an optimal amount. It also allows us to discover our bodies by giving sufficient time to bring awareness to the various body parts and by brining awareness into the different body parts, prana is directed there and healing can take place.


Total cost: NPR 19,000 in double room sharing, NPR 3000 single room supplement, includes transportation, 2 nights accommodation and all meals and classes.
